Please DO NOT allow your child to bring toys or money to school. A sleeping buddy for nap is fine. We have some bringing money and/or toys, I do not want their toys or money lost or broken. The handbook also says no toys. Thank You for your help with this!

Wow, time sure is flying by...I can't believe it's already October!
Thank you all and Grandparents for attending the 2016 Book Fair. It was a great success! To those of you who purchased gift certificates for new books for our classroom! They are greatly appreciated!
Be sure to check out the October Calendar...we have everything from School Photos to Parent/Teacher Conferences to Field Trip to Fall Break and more!
I will be sending home you child's cup every Thursday so it can be washed good. Please, please send it back on Tuesday! Thank you all for getting the Thermos kind. I love the lid - I figured with colds and coughs starting the less germs we share the better!
We are really working hard on holding our pencil/crayon correctly and other fine motor skills. This is really helping with getting us ready for writing. My goal is to start our writing books after Fall Break, but no later then Thanksgiving Break. This does not mean we aren't working on things, for writing...We are working hard!
If you have any questions or concerns, please email, text or call me. Remind 101 is a very easy way to get in touch with me.
Thank you for sharing your children with me! Each of them have a very special place in my heart!

Parents, please check your child's folder each day. Let them show you how proud they are of their work! Let them sing the letter, shape or color songs to you or with you! I made some changes this week. I'm not working with them on really writing their letters until October sometime. We all need a little work with Fine Motor Skills. We will be working on that to prepare us for the writing. So hang in there with me we will get to it but have to get them ready for it! Tomorrow is a full moon and you can also tell the weather is changing...they were ALL a little crazy this week! lol I also posted a few new photos on here this week.
Have a great weekend! Mrs. Ayers
